My Sculpted Piggies

This page is for piggies I've sculpted out of Paper Mache Clay. Each one is completely unique and hand sculpted, some of them taking 6-7 hours of painstaking work just to get the forms right - that's the work before the decorating starts! First they're molded and shaped, then they dry. Then they get sanded, most of the time by hand. Then they get a second coat, it dries, then a third finish coat. Then they get sanded again, sealed and are ready to be painted, drawn on, costumed, etc. It's a very labor intensive prospect, but a labor of love indeed! I hope you enjoy them. Trio En Pointe Quatre

My three little ballerinas, each in her tutu and jeweled headdress, have sweet brown eyes, rosy cheeks and lips, painted slippers with real ribbons. They measure 2.5", 3", and 4" in diameter and are real working piggy banks with slots on the back and corks on their bellies. These pudgy little princesses of the stage are too cute for words!  Sold as a set, they can be special ordered to change colors or as single pieces. Sold without tray.
