Shown almost full size (^ inch diameter) you can see the detail that went into this piece. Layers of sculpture, each added individually and cut so that the translucency of the cold process porcelain is enhanced, are completed with delicate paint strokes and metallic ink embel-lishments. When a candle burns and flickers inside, they almost come to life, you can almost see them swim. Enchanting and mesmerizing. Each candle holder takes almost 8 hours to sculpt and finish, then they're coated with a sturdy polyurethane sealer coat and finally a water resistance coat. With adequate care, these will be heirlooms, treasures to hand down.
