These Dragonflies (one large on one side, two smaller on the other) dart about the surface of this sky blue globe. They are purposely made to look as though they're made of stained glass. I've been intrigued by the properties of light through the cold process porcelain every since I discovered it - the translucency is quite interesting to work with and has called for me to learn some new techniques. Using blue archival ink, I detailed some parts and left others bare to allow the candle light to show through. The bottom is finished with dozens of cherry blossom petals and leaves. They almost look s though they could zoom off into the garden, don't they? Delicate and timeless.
